A Message From Lisa Women's Ministry Director
Warmest greetings and thank you for visiting our little corner of this web site. Though our space here is small, we are committed to making a big difference in our homes, church, and the world!
The goal of the Peachtree City Women’s Ministry is to provide opportunities that will encourage women at all stages of maturity to reach their spiritual potential.
Over the last several years, our leaders have had the wisdom and foresight to plan annual themes:
· 2001: The Year of Courage
· 2002: The Year of Growth
· 2003: The Year of Love
· 2004: The Year of Holiness
· 2005: The Year of Zeal
· 2006: The Year of Fruitfulness
· 2007: The Year of Family
These themes have laid the groundwork for the coming year:
2008: The Year of Foundations
In 2008, it is our goal to develop Bible classes, devotionals, retreats, service activities, and periods of fellowship in a culture that will afford each woman the opportunities she needs to…
• Rekindle (or find anew) the desire for a passion for God's word
• Assist each woman in discovering and using her spiritual gifts
• Improve morale, awareness, efficiency and responsiveness to the needs around us
• Align behaviors with God's will for our lives and the mission of the church to love one another
• Create relentless focus and growth in maturing to a new level of spirituality
• Engage each woman and build a sense of pride in their roles at home, in the workplace, and within the church family
• Empower each woman to realize her significance in God's kingdom
• Demonstrate unity
The format for the foundation of the Lord's church is found in the pages of the New Testament. It is my prayer that a fundamental habit will be formed (or renewed) as we read through the New Testament this year.
Beginning in January, we will read a chapter a day, Monday through Friday, (with Saturday/Sunday to catch up if you missed a chapter!) and facilitators in our Sunday morning Ladies class will lead the group in discussion of the readings from the prior week.
Please come and join us as we make this exciting journey through scripture, and enjoy the life journey God has in store for you as a result! Please come back and visit our site often. May God bless you and may you be a blessing to all whom you meet.
